Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process at Bell Helicopter Textron

I did this webinar (requires registration) with Mark Ferrell, Leader, Enterprise Planning, Bell Helicopter Textron. Mark talks about their Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) Process. He goes into more details on the SIOP process in the Q&A session towards the end of the webinar.

Some of the highlights for me were

  1. Leveraging the planning solutions, that they have gone through multiple cycles of learning, to build a sales and operations management process
  2. Visual representation of the synchronization; exception based planning solving anticipated problems as early as possible.
  3. Alignment of metrics to make sure all silos are working towards a common goal
  4. Cleaning up of data requires tools and metrics to be in place
